Every agent in this directory is scored 0–10 across five weighted dimensions, applied identically to everyone we list. No agent can pay to raise a score — zero paid placements, full stop. When placement fees exist elsewhere on the site, they buy visibility, never a ranking.
Content depth, neighborhood specificity, verified local data.
Google review count + rating + recency + keyword mentions.
Response-time signals, review sentiment, direct inquiry.
Transaction history in their stated specialty + price range.
How well their specialization matches the city/type page.

No agent can buy a higher score on Minnesota Top Agents. Featured placement, where it exists, is a flat monthly fee that buys extra visibility — a badge, priority within a city list — and never touches the underlying score. That's a deliberate contrast with pay-to-play referral models, where a network takes a cut of an agent's commission in exchange for the introduction. Every ranking on this site is earned, not purchased.
