Exceptional
Very strong public evidence across the weighted dimensions
Evidence confidence
Documentation completeness and reliability—not agent quality.
Jim Dropps is the broker-owner of the two-agent Northeast Real Estate Group roster. Zillow displayed 33 reviews at a 5.0 average, 16 sales in the trailing 12 months and 378 total recorded sales when checked September 20, 2026. His Zillow biography separately claims 350-plus homes sold and 12 built; those are first-party claims, not audited production totals, and this review did not capture a current Minnesota Commerce result.
Profile evidence audit
This measures what Minnesota Top Agents can trace to a dated URL. It does not measure the agent's quality, and an uncited area is a documentation gap—not proof that the underlying fact is false.

5/5 evidence areas cited
A citation supports only the claims named in the source register. It does not validate every signal shown in the same evidence area.
How many transactions did you personally close in Minneapolis and the $60K–$1M range during the last 12 months?
Requests recent, comparable production and keeps personal results separate from team totals.
Which neighborhoods in Minneapolis have you worked in most recently, and what local issue materially affected a deal?
Tests current, specific market knowledge instead of relying on a broad service-area label.
Who will handle showings, negotiations and updates day to day, and when will I work directly with the named agent?
Clarifies which team member is accountable for each stage of the transaction.
Will you provide a written, itemized explanation of compensation, services, cancellation terms and any additional costs before I sign?
Commission and services are negotiable; a written proposal makes candidates easier to compare.
Northeast Real Estate Group identifies Jim Dropps as its broker-owner and lists one other agent on its current roster. Its biography says he moved to Minneapolis in 2000, settled in Sheridan in 2004 and came from a real-estate and construction family. The site also presents him as a licensed Minnesota broker and says the brokerage was established in 2012, but those are first-party claims rather than a current Minnesota Commerce status result.
When checked September 20, 2026, Zillow showed 33 reviews at 5.0, 16 sales in the trailing 12 months, 378 total recorded sales and a $60,000-to-$1 million sold-price range. Zillow's platform display said 21 years of experience, while Jim's self-authored biography on the same page said 18 years, 350-plus homes sold and 12 built from the ground up. The profile preserves that conflict and does not convert the biography figures into independently verified production totals.
Northeast Real Estate Group brands itself as a Northeast Minneapolis duplex specialist, citing experience with turn-of-the-century true duplexes, converted single-families, and 1960s-70s side-by-sides in the neighborhood.
Recorded sales concentrate in the $240,000-$500,000 range across Audubon Park, Waite Park, Windom Park, and Holland, and several client reviews specifically describe him walking first-time buyers through each step of the process.
Not publicly listed; contact directly for current rates, which the brokerage presents as negotiable rather than fixed.
His sales history and brokerage marketing are concentrated almost entirely in Northeast and North Minneapolis housing stock, including duplex and multi-family conversions.
Reviews repeatedly describe him explaining each stage of a transaction rather than pushing a fast close, which suits buyers wanting more hand-holding over speed.
Buyers wanting a large team with round-the-clock coverage or a specialist with a public luxury-tier sales record outside the urban core.
For a buyer or seller focused on Northeast or North Minneapolis, the current evidence makes Dropps a plausible interview candidate, especially for duplex or older-housing questions. Outside that geography, or for luxury-tier transactions, his public record offers less direct evidence; consumers should also confirm current license status and who provides backup coverage.
